i was just thinking of something this morning.

when presented with the possibility that the witnesses could be wrong, the typical response is 'where else is there to go?

' in short, 'if not us, who?

The Irony....(brother) Prince

so ("brother) prince is coming to town and he is quoted as saying that "as a baptized jehovah's witness he has put his past behind him".

on one hand he is allowed to put on such a concert that the gb states that baptized jehovah's witnesses should not go to.

would the gb frown on (brother) prince attending his own concerts?

morbidzbaby- I believe the reason these celebs get a free pass, whereas the normal pissant rank and file do not, is a simple thing indeed. MONEY.

Really its not that its the publicity that they are scared of. They let prince and the williams sisters get away with 'double lives' that most dubs would be hauled to the back room for because they are scarded of the public backlash that would come.

kinda ironic for the group that once declared they would ADVERTISE ADVERTISE ADVERTISE the king and his kingdom.

waaaaay back when these words were written an embarassing awareness of delay was in the air among christians.. shortly after jesus was executed the story was circulated that he arose from the dead and was witnessed by a great many people.. but, jesus (it was said) went up to his father in heaven and would soon return.. time passed.. more time passed.. ....and still more time passed without jesus coming back.. the idea that deliverance was "near" began to make believers squirm with discomfort.. instead of standing around waiting, enduring persecution and praying constantly for reward....a new task emerged for christians to take.

I just watched the movie caligula (which holds up well considering it was made in 79.) As I was watching I thought 'I can see how some looking on the decadance of that time would dream up the savior scenario that we have in the new testament.'

To all who hold that jesus is coming you really should investigate the times and mindset of those who were alive back than.

Question for Ex-bethelites: Governing Body Medical Expenses

the governing body must have health insurance, right?

i ask because i was wondering how much money has been spent to keep them alive to such ripe and old ages.

do they all just have impeccable genetics or did they greatly indulge in the worlds medical services to cheat death like the rest of us?

my first asshole room mate worked in the bethal infirmery and attended to some gb including franz. they basically have the same doctors availible to the rest of the bethelites. i would imagine that if they needed some specialty treatment they would go out of bethel to find it.

now this would be availible to most bethelites but some would be required to pay back the extra cost for coverage outside of bethel infirmery.

i figured out it's been 4 months and 5 days since my last meeting ever.

july 10th, it was a sunday.

someone reported to joe that they witnessed one of his coaches molesting a young boy.

joe reports it to his bosses and his bosses reports it to the da.

betweeb joe, his bosses, and the da someone questions the coach about the alleged molestation and he denies it.

to prove 2 years after this incident when his 'bosses' came and tried to get him to retire he basically told them to fuck off and his 'bosses' did just that.

in the first robocop severval experiments implanted a human brain into a robotic form, i feel that i'm in the catogory of the one that realised they were totally alien in that form, just as a rational mind into the jehovahs witness mentality and would probably blow their brains out rather than live a total lie!!.

I think OP is compacting robocop 1&2 together.

in 2 they tried to make another robo coand failed because the test subjects couldn't handle the new form they were inserted in. It was revealed that what made murphy the perfect speciman was his sense of duty and love for his family...in pt 2 they got a crackhead.
